Social media icons

A recent study found that social media buttons increase page referrals by a factor of six.

After trying several other social media icon solutions we decided to write our own. The other scripts were not configurable enough and they were generating far too many server requests and tracking which was slowing down page views. This script uses a single image sprite for fast loading.

  1. Check off the buttons you wish to display
  2. Edit the URL if necessary*
  3. Click the button
  4. Download the script and install to server directory.
  5. Create or download icons and paste the code into websites and blogs

*The first dozen or so URLs are configured to share the current page, but you may edit them and point them to your individual profiles, friend follow pages, or subscriber pages if desired.
